BFNVI Highlight: Rachel Seltzer vs Maty Peasantes

Rachel Seltzer vs Maty Peasantes (Amatuer Muay Thai 126 lbs)

Round 1: Another fast paced female fight. Both girls come out with a flurry of punches and kicks. Once they settle, it is Rachel that stalks her opponent for most of the round and is the one pressing the action.

Round 2: The fast pace continues. The girls end up in a clinch, where both fighters land some good shots to the head, and Rachel delivers some knees to the body of her opponent. When they separate Maty lands a nice head kick, but Rachel is unphased by this and continues to stalk. She lands some leg kicks, and once again the girls exchange pretty even shots to the head. Maty tries for another head kick, and Rachel answers with a big right hand that stumbles her opponent. They are both using combinations and trading punches pretty evenly. Rachel is successfully using the push kick to keep her distance.

Round 3: Rachel comes out swinging for the fences, but Maty answers with punches of her own. They clinch briefly, and Rachel lands a couple of big knees. She continues to press the action and stalk. Maty is still putting up a good fight and throwing big punches with bad intentions, but it’s just not enough to answer to Rachel’s pace. All 3 judges score the fight 30-27 for Rachel.
